Request for access to crm.objects.calls.write and Calling Extension SDK

Hello HubSpot team,

I'm currently developing a custom dialer integration using the Calling Extension SDK. I'd like to request access to the crm.objects.calls.write scope and enable Calling Extension support for our public app.

App Name: Kavkom Dialer
App ID: 16493330
Developer ID: 146591120
SDK Script URL: https://testdialer.kavkom.com/hubspot-calling-sdk.js

Could you please enable this scope or direct us to the team that handles these requests?

Hi @PBurdzel,

To add an additional scope you will need to edit your public app Auth settings through your HubSpot Developer Account.

Note: any existing installs of the public app will need to be re-authorized to get the scope update:

Here are the steps to provide the required scopes -

go to your public app -> basic info -> auth -> add new scope

Here, you can add your required scopes. Here is the link to the reference doc

Here you can find the endpoint which you are using and add the required scopes in your public app.

You are searching for this scope crm.objects.calls.write but to write or read the call the scope required is crm.objects.contacts.read. You can refer to the above doc for details.

I’ve followed the steps and opened the scope list, but crm.objects.calls.write is not available in the dropdown. Could you please enable it manually for App ID: 16493330?

I created the app a few days ago, but the call scope does not appear at all in the list of available scopes.

The scope is not available in the dropdown because "crm.objects.calls.write" does not actually exist.

If you are trying to create a call on a contact record, then according to the Calls API documentation, you would need the following scope: crm.objects.contacts.write

Thanks for the reply, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. Below, I'll describe the problem again.

I’m developing a public integration for our VoIP solution (Kavkom Dialer) using the Calling Extension SDK.

We would now like to allow our users to initiate outbound calls directly from HubSpot using our custom dialer. To achieve this, we need the following:

Activation of the Calling Extension SDK feature for our public app, which will allow us to register a custom calling provider using:

window.HubSpotCallingExtensions.register({...});

Enable the ability for users to select our dialer in the calling options within contact records.

This is not about scopes like crm.objects.calls.write – we understand that this scope doesn’t exist. Instead, we are requesting to enable the Calling Extension feature on our app, as it requires manual activation by HubSpot’s team.

So far, we have followed the documentation:

We created a HubSpot developer account
We created a public app (Kavkom Dialer)
We configured the required scopes (excluding "call", as it's not available in the list)
We installed the app on a test CRM and established a connection successfully
