Webhook for Import Completion in HubSpot Import API?

Hi everyone,

I'm using the HubSpot Import API to import Contacts and Companies into our HubSpot account. The import process works smoothly, and the API response returns a JSON object containing a "state" key with the value "STARTED", along with an "id" representing the import ID.

To check the status of the import, I found the following endpoint, which accepts the import ID as a GET parameter:
https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/imports/<import ID>

However, I’m unsure when exactly I should call this endpoint, since the completion time depends on the size and complexity of the imported data. Is there a way to receive a webhook notification once the import is complete?

Great news!. You are not missing an option as there is not an import-based webhook subscription listed in the Webhook API documentation. The endpoint you listed is correct and the documented way to check an import status.

Hey, @rakesh1003-dax 👋 For your usecase, you may want to work with your dev to create a simple script and middleware to poll that endpoint on a set interval. That is likely the most reliable way to programmatically identify when imports have finsihed processing.

Thanks @Jaycee_Lewis , Thanks for the providing this solution. We are already working on this solution but i am looking if there is an alternate option in hubspot to send a webhook on import completion.
