Hi @StijnCube,

As when, when you submit a custom-styled form through your site and rely on the HubSpot tracking code alone, HubSpot sees that as a non-HubSpot form. That’s why it creates a new form record in your account instead of attributing the submission to the one you already built in HubSpot. Unfortunately, even using the form’s name, ID, and even data-hs-form-id won't work as you are hoping.

The way around this is to use the HubSpot Forms API. With the API, you can post form data directly to a specific form using its GUID. This gives you full control over the front-end experience while still preserving native tracking in HubSpot, including attribution, reporting, and workflow enrollment tied to that form. This setup keeps everything centralized under the form you want, without having to embed the actual HubSpot form on the page.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I've created a packages that syncs my Hubspot forms to my websites CMS. I do this so I have full control over the form styling. Getting the form, mapping the fields and displaying it on my website works fine. However, when I submit the form on my website, it creates a new form in Hubspot and it isn't submitted into my existing form.

The forms get submitted into Hubspot trough the general HubSpot tracking code script I placed on my website. I get that Hubspot sees the form on my website as a 'non Hubspot form', because it technically is, but I would like to now if it is possible to tell Hubspot to submit the form to a specific existing form in Hubspot. I have tried adding the name of the form as 'name' and 'id' HTML attributes, and have even tried adding a 'data-hs-form-id' with the correct Hubspot form ID to get it to submit to the right form, but none of that seems to work.

How could I get this to work correct?

I wil look into using the API!
