Most file types including encrypted or unreadable files are allowed to be uploaded via the API, but won't be previewable within HubSpot

Executable and potentially harmful file types like .exe, .bat, .sh, .bin are blocked for security. Only the most standard non executable formats are accepted and scanned for threats during upload.

Talking about file size limits are 20 MB for free accounts and upto 2GB for paid plans

It's not intended for general usage like cloud as uploading non- business or high security assets like backup as it may violate usage policies.

If this helps, feel free to mark it as the solution ✔️ and give it an upvote 👍 !

I'm curious about how HubSpot handles file uploads, especially through the API.

If I upload encrypted or unreadable files (such as those with strong encryption that HubSpot can't preview), will those files be rejected—or does HubSpot allow all file types as long as they don’t pose security risks?

In that case, is HubSpot essentially acting like a free cloud storage service with no strict file-type limitations, provided that the user remains active?
