I found this on the support website: If no company record exists yet, HubSpot automatically creates a company record and populates it with information from the HubSpot database. A company record is created for each unique domain, including subdomains (e.g. @example.com and @info.example.com result in two different company records).

My problem: When I perform a data import to add contacts in Hubspot, companies are created, but they do not have names. Is it possible for the company names to be entered automatically so that I don't have to add each company name manually?

I tried to reproduce your problem but when I create new contacts or import contacts, I always get new company records with company names automatically populated.

Can you check for me if you have this setting checked?

Would also help if you can send screenshot of your list of companies with empty company name. I am so curious how it happened, because I think company name is a required property in creating company record.

The setting has already been adjusted and it still didn't work.
The company is created and also assigned to the correct domain and logo, but the name is not entered.
Here is a screenshot showing the problem. The company name is “--” everywhere.
