Where is my developer API key ?

I am trying to hit the below endpoint

https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/extensions/calling/906/settings?hapikey=DEVELOPER_API_KEY

But in my developer account I am not able to find my developer API key anywhere, followed the steps the documentation but the "Apps" option is just not visible. Can anybody tell me where can i find my developer API key ?

Hi @HSehgal

There is no option to create a Pvt app on the developer account. You have to create a test account to do the testing. On the left-hand side, you can find the option to create the developer test account and you can do the testing there.
On that account you can create the pvt apps and can get the token from there.

I already have a developer test account as below

My app is actually a calling extension app created using calling extensions SDK

below is the doc link to set a calling extension to a hubspot account

This linking API requires an API key, my question is where do i find it ? Is it mandatory to create a private app first to get the API key ? Does this calling extension integration fall under private app development ?

Hi @HSehgal

To hit any endpoint you need an API key. there are two options available i.e. pvt token or OAuth, I will recommend you to use the pvt token generated via pvt app.
Using that you can hit the calling extension API.
To find the API key in your test account go to settings -> Integration -> private app -> create private app.
also, give the required scopes in your private app

In your developer account, go to your Apps tab and click the "GetHubSpot API Key" button

Hi,

I encountered the same issue as OP but with the settings requests in the videoconferencing extension API.

So is it correct that the requests to the settings do not mandate the use of the Developer API key, but simply using the private token as bearer token for authentication?

I created a private app in my developer test account and set proper roles and created the auth token as guided by You, but when i tried to hit it with my postman, its throwing below error

See my main problem is, I am trying to follow below steps to get my Developer API Key.

BUT the "Apps" option(mentioned in the first point of above steps) is NOT visible in my apps developer account. I just need help to fix that

Unfortunately, I'm in the exact same situation as you. I'm also not able to find any Apps overview page like described in the documentation to retrieve the developer API key.

Go to developer account and click on Get HubSpot API key
