Hi Jaycee,

Currently we are using the form for our product survey as well as opting into our newsletter. We realised that 20-30% of people that fill the survey form do not input their real email in order to get the free giveaways. So it is difficult for our CRM department as they have to constantly clean up these fake emails every month.

Hence we are planning to implement an extra step which is for users to receive an OTP in their email address that they use in the survey form and key in the OTP to verify that their email is legit. If there is a better way to validate emails that users input in the form, we are open to other suggestions as well.

We are hoping for some guidance on how to implement this email verification OTP step. Thank you!

Hello all.

I would like to implement an email OTP functionality into my Hubspot forms where after a user fills in the form, an OTP will be sent to their email address stated in the form to validate the email address to ensure that user's email address is correct and is marketable in the future.

Any recommendations on how to implement email OTP in Hubspot forms is welcomed. Thank you!

Hey, @zhikai93 👋 Can you tell our community more about your project? For example, how are you generating these codes? How are you handling the validation? Do you have access to Workflows and custom coded workflow actions?

Giving our community more details along with the steps you've already taken can help our members better understand how they can help you.

Thanks! — Jaycee

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

One of the possible ways to verify emails in your HubSpot forms would be with the email validation integration, like this one.

Additionally, I wanted to invite our subject matter experts to this conversation to see if they have advice.
