Can hubspot marketplace modules interfere with the basecode of your website?

My company saw that hubspot marketplace offers many different modules and themes that we needed. We used to build them bespoke before. But our marketing agency told us that since our website is quite bespoke, adding a module from marketplace can interfere or change the base code of the website itself. It makes sense if I am installing something huge like an animation module, but for something as simple as modules for a simple FAQ page, like accordion modules and search bars that look good, I don't understand how that can change the base code of a website?

In general, Marketplace modules are typically self-contained and shouldn't alter your site's base code, especially for simple elements like FAQs or search bars. And everything should be tested before using it in a production site.

You or your team can use the Design Manager to create and code custom modules, which will give you customization issues and the ability to better control how things work together.
