How to access and use transactional email add-on in HubSpot?

How do I enable and use the transactional email add-on in HubSpot?

Hi

I am trying to create an email that is of type Transactional, as I want to trigeer it via the api on a event that triggers from another systems webhook. When creating the email from a template I can not find the type Transactional in the Sybscription Type field, in th emails Settings teb. As descibed here how to use it: "How to Use Transactional Emails to Send Relationship-Based Emails in HubSpot"

On the pricing page I can not see the funciton of thransactional emails: "Marketing Hub".

And on this page you kind of try to sell a demo on it: "Transactional Email Software"

What is this add-on and is it so we do not have it and what does it cost ? We have an Proffessional account.

Hi @PatrikR

Transactional Email is an add-on for Marketing Hub Professional/Enterprise, and it uses a dedicated IP address. The Transactional Email add-on includes its own dedicated IP for transactional sends; if you also want a dedicated IP for marketing emails, you’d purchase the Dedicated IP Address add-on as well.

You will be able to see the transactional email pricing here. Also, here is the link to the: "Marketing Hub pricing".

And it will look like this when you have the add-on in your account:

The same information should be visible if you scroll down on the Marketing tab of the 'Pricing and features' page in your portal, accessed via the menu at top right.

Ahh yes found them thank you! Now I still wonder about the Dedicated Ip add-on is it not included in the professional plan, at least here it mentions professional: "Connect a dedicated IP address for sending emails", and I can see when following the steps on that page to settings that someone already set it upp in the account settings as Email sending domain (DKIM).

But if I do the opening of add ons as you adviced, when logged in, I can see both options for those add ons can be added as in your picture? So i get a bit confused do we have dedicated IP or is it an add.on to our current dedicated Ip ?

Hi everyone 👋, to add to what @Phil_Vallender shared (thank you!), transactional emails are available as a separate add-on for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise accounts.

If you don’t see “Transactional” in your Subscription types, it just means the add-on isn’t active yet.

Our Sales team can help you with pricing and activation.

Once it’s enabled, you’ll be able to easily send system-triggered emails through the email editor, single-send API, or SMTP API.
