If I add (or delete) contacts from a static list using the API using (https://api.hubapi.com/contacts/v1/lists/LISTID/add), I would expect them to update the list information immediately. It does not. It will keep reporting the previous size for a while using the https://api.hubapi.com/contacts/v1/lists/LISTID endpoint or in the user interface. Sometimes if you go to the detail, some may show in there. If I get all the contacts for a list using the api endpoint https://api.hubapi.com/contacts/v1/lists/LISTID/contacts/all they show the correct contacts. If you get the list information, there is no way to know if the list has been updated with the new records short of getting all the contacts for the list over again. Is there a way to force this update immediately? I hate to tell the user, oh, just check back again in a while.... I understand that dynamic lists take a while to build, but when adding to a static select list, they should be reflected immediately.

It does not seem consistent. I think it generally updates within about a minute. I send the list items and then end up going to the list in the UI and it is not updated. I will reload the lists page a few times and then start doing somthing else and then when I go back a few minutes later, it is updated. I guess the biggest issue, is there is nothing that tells when the list is ready as the processing status is only for dynamic lists, so you don't really know. One thing to note, though, is that the contacts show up immediately when you pull all contacts for a list through the api when I have tried it, but to get the total, especially on a big list, is a lot of calls because it will only give you 100 at a time, which if you have 10,000, that ends up being a lot of calls. It would be nice if there was a get all contacts that would return only the vids instead of all the contact data. Even if you just request 1 property on the get all contacts for a list, the payloads are pretty large.

Hi @TDittberner

It's possible that there may be a delay in the synchronization process between the API and HubSpot's database. In some cases, it can take a few minutes for the changes to be reflected in the user interface or in the list endpoint. This delay can be due to a variety of factors, including network latency and data processing time.

However, you can try using the `Get list by ID` endpoint (`GET /contacts/v1/lists/:list_id`) to retrieve the updated list information. This endpoint should provide you with the most up-to-date information about the list, including the number of contacts in the list.

Another option is to use webhooks to receive real-time updates when contacts are added or removed from a list. With webhooks, you can set up a subscription to receive notifications when a specific event occurs (e.g., a contact is added to a list). When the event occurs, HubSpot will send a POST request to the URL you specify, allowing you to take immediate action based on the updated information.

In summary, while there may be a delay in updating the list information, you can use the `Get list by ID` endpoint or set up webhooks to receive real-time updates and take action accordingly.

Please mark it as SOLUTION ACCEPTED if you like the solution.

Thank you!
