topic Identify a visitor by company in Conversations in APIs & Integrations

I'm working with the Visitor Identification API to map a user to their contact for a HubSpot Conversations integration, and I was wondering if the person in the chat could be associated to a Company instead. Probably an example might come handy here:

Our application allows more than one admin per company, so let's say Person A creates a new company, their contact reach HubSpot, and in the end they start using our application. If Person A interacts with the chat, it will be identified correctly and we can link them with an existing contact on HubSpot.

Let's say Person A hires Person B in their company, which can access the chat as well. If Person B interacts with the chat, we'll create a new contact in HubSpot for this person, which is redundant in our case, because more than one contact per company makes communication harder to trace.

That's why I was wondering if the ideal solution for us is something doable. If we can identify the person in the conversation just by the Company, we wouldn't generate unnecessary new Contacts and we can keep a better tracking of all the conversations by company directly. Also, we wouldn't create more contacts per company, something we want to avoid at all costs.

Is this (or a similar workaround) possible?

Hi, @SergioMosquera. There isn't a direct documented solution to your request. I can confirm this isn't a feature.

If you have a moment, adding your suggestion to the Ideas Community and getting some upvotes will be very helpful in getting your suggestion in front of the Product team. If you add a link back to your Idea post, I'll be sure to give it an upvote to help get the ball rolling.

Best,
