Custom Objects (Unique Key)

Hi,

How can I include or convert a property as unique key in the custom objects?. I need to avoid a duplicate records in the custom object and I don't know how can I do this.

Can I do something like the "Email" property in the "Contact" object?. The HubSpot don't allow to include two contact with the same email.

Hi, @kaleperez 👋 I think this one will come down to, it depends... Can you tell the community a bit more about your goal?

Are you needing a unique idenditfier for your custom object only for doing imports? In the past you were limited to record ID, but there was a public beta released in Dec 2022 that added new functionality.

You can find the full beta details in your portal by doing the following:

Click the account dropdown in the upper right hand side of your portal
Click Product Updates
Change the date range to last year (as this update was from 12/2022)
Search for unique

How I can include as unique values an existing property?. In HS says that I can't, but there is any way that I can do this, I don't know, using the API.

I used this property in multiple steps, workflow, APIs and created a new property with the same information could be very complicated.
