Hello guys, I'm new here, my name is Denis, I hope you can help me with my question)

I need to build an integration between Snovio and Hubspot. The purpose of integration is to exchange contacts between systems in real time. The exchange should take place when creating, updating and deleting a contact. At the same time, we need field mapping in order to match the fields of the two systems. Accordingly, I should have a setting in which I can specify the type of synchronization (one-way or two-way), set up correspondence between contact fields and specify data exchange limits.

I want to figure out on which side it is better to build integration, on the side of Snovio or on the side of Hubspot.

I understand that if I build the integration on the side of Snovio, then web hooks will not be available to me, and I will have to constantly poll the hubspot every few hours.

If I am building an integration on the side of Hubspot, then I will have to make an app, pass validation and publish it to the marketplace. But in such an implementation, hooks and the integration settings page constructor will be available to me.

Tell me, did I understand the ideology of building integrations correctly and which way should I choose?

Hihi,

You can look at getting Ops Hub Pro which includes webhooks: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/how-do-i-use-webhooks-with-hubspot-workflows

There you can set up a workflow to trigger based on Contact creation/update/delete and trigger your webhook on Snovio.

Alternatively you can also use 3rd party tools like Zapier, Integrately etc., which acts as a poll also to sync both ways. I'm not versed with Snovio but if they have an open api then chances are these connectors like Zapier and Integrately would work.

Cheers

WL

Thank you for your reply!

If I understand correctly, Ops Hub Pro allows the single user to set up hooks manually in their account. But I need that users of snovio or hubspot can install this integration for themselves (from snovio or hubspot marketplace), which will allow them to synchronize contacts automatically. That's why I'm clarifying whether I need to build an app in the hubspot or not.

in order for you to understand me correctly, I want to do something like the integration of pipedrive and hubspot - https://app-eu1.hubspot.com/ecosystem/26489905/marketplace/apps/sales/crm/pipedrive

Ah I see that means you are not just handling one HS account, but instead have many clients of yours using HS and Snovio. In this case, doing it in Snovio is out of the question because you will not have real time synchronization between Snovio and HS.

1) You could still go with the connectors approach if your users are able to (or if your firm is doing the integration).

2) Creating an app on the marketplace like Pipedrive seems to be the most elegant solution then. However I can't advise you further on this as I've not personally published apps on the marketplace before.
