Firebase Cloud Functions

Has anyone been using Firebase Cloud Functions to access the HubSpot API? I used it with axios and express to create my own REST API, but it seems clunky. It seems like there should be a more direct way to do it by creating callable serverless functions that run on Node on Firebase/Google Cloud. If anyone has an experience with this I would love to connect!

Here's where I'm at so far: I have been able to use Axios and Express to get some Firebase cloud functions going using Firebase https.onRequest fuctions on the Google Cloud servers.

That enables me to query the database more securely from my Google Cloud backend while controlling what the frontend is able to call.

I would much prefer to write these as https.onCall functions using the @hubspot/api-client library, but I have not yet been able to get those functions to work.

If anyone has successfully developed and called Firebase Cloud Functions to get data into and out of HubSpot for a React/Typescript app, that would be really helpful!
