Custom call sources

Our HubSpot integration adds call engagements. We'd love to have our own custom "Call source" so that customers can build views that show calls specifically only from our platform. Is that possible to do, or can we only use the generic "Integrations Platform" source?

Hey, @wbobeirne! This is a very interesting question.

I didn't find anything in the documentation for the v1 or v3 endpoints for Calling that would indicate this is possible. In my experience, when this is the case, it is going to fall under not possible. I have a question out to my internal resources to confirm if this is correct.

Hey, @wbobeirne I got some clarity from our internal resources. In short, this is not possible. This property is a system-generated property that is not able to be modified or have additional values added to it.

If you have a moment, adding your request as a post to the Ideas forum would be helpful. Many of our product improvements were originally sourced there. I promise it's not just an abyss where suggestions are sent to perish slowly 😊
