Hi @VKumar26,

Thanks for reaching out!

1. A Sandbox account is a portal created as a duplicate of your live account. This portal is designed to have the same forms, workflows and other tools as your live account. However, any changes that you made in the sandbox account will not affect your live portal. Using this feature requires an Enterprise subscription: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/account/set-up-a-hubspot-sandbox-account

It's important to note that you cannot copy tools such as form from your live account to the test account. They can be setup by you manually or using API.

2. A test account is created from a Developer portal. It can be created for free and remains active for 90 days. When a new test account is created it will not have any forms, workflows or other tools configured. They can be setup by you manually or using API but it is not possible to copy these tools from your live account to the test account.

A developer portal is a system that allows you to create custom apps that can then be authenticated using OAuth2.0 or test accounts that remain. This is an admin page for developers to create their app credentials and setup test accounts

In your case, you would want to create a developer portal and a testing account.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Hi,

What is the difference between a sandbox account and a testing account? I am trying to use the Hubspot APIs to sync data and was wondering which type of account is used to test API integrations.

I tried to look through the Hubspot blogs and articles and the difference is still not quite clear to me.

Thanks!

This response is inaccurate and should be updated or removed as to not mislead people.

1.
