Automatic Creation of Call Engagements

It is currently expected that when a recorded call ends, Hubspot creates a CALL engagement on behalf of the owner of that call. However, when I make, record and log a phone conversation (phone call) via Hubspot and then query the API for "recent engagements", I do not see any CALL engagements, I only see other engagement such as meetings, email, incoming emails.

What we want to achieve is, when a user makes, records and logs a call. Using the user's accessToken, we want to fetch their recent phone call engagements and process the recording.

At what point will Hubspot automatically create a call engagment? Or how else can we get notified that a user has just logged a new call engagement?

Hitting this endpoint should return call engagements. Here is an example that I just performed.

However, this hasn't yet addressed the challenge or main question I have asked.

- At what point does Hubspot create a call engagement, does making a call via the Hubspot dialer automatically lead to the creation
of a call engagement?

I asked this question because after making a phone call with the Hubspot dialer, recording and setting the status of the call as 'connected', I later queried that endpoint but didn't see a CALL engagement.

I want to know what action(s) a user will take that will lead to Hubspot to add that CALL engagement automatically. Is making a phone call via the Hubspot dialer one of such?

As a test, I just surprised my wife with a call using the dialer. (She is now a contact in my portal 😀) I hit the endpoint again and the call engagement was registered. The only action I took was disconnecting the call. I did not even save it, yet. Could you try again?
