As a hubspot integration developer, I'm looking for a way to indicate properties thats related to 'ecommerce bridge'
I was thinking of using the 'ip__ecomm_bridge__' that hubspot uses, not sure I should use it. In any case I would like to know what the acronym 'ip' stands for?

Hi, @hawkishtester.

The
ip
prefix stands for "IntegrationsPlatform," an internal service which the Ecommerce Bridge uses.

I would advise against prepending
ip__ecomm_bridge__
to custom properties your app is creating, as we use it a number of places internally.

You could certainly use something like
ecommerce_
, though.

Hey, @MFJohnson!

Yep, I don't see any issues with that prefix except that it's more abstract, so if a customer who isn't familiar with the APIs saw it, they probably would not think to associate it with the Ecommerce Bridge. (Of course, the internal naming isn't for these users.)
