Emails with bad domains not bounced

Hi there,

Noticed a couple bad domains on hubspot like 654gmail.com, gmail.co.com, gmaim.com have statuses as sent and delivered with no bounces. Is there a setting I can configure to make sure all bounces are logged?

Are you experiencing issues with emails being delivered to invalid domains without bouncing back?
Are these email addresses consistently not bouncing back despite being invalid?

Hi,

Yes, that's correct. Several contacts had invalid emails because their domains were not valid. The image below shows that we sent 3 separate emails to the contact where the domain is "654gmail.com" and none of these had bounced.

Thanks for the details!

There is no specific reason for why this invalid email has not bounced yet. The bounce message, known as a Non-Delivery Report/Receipt (NDR), is sent by the recipient's email server with details about any issues with email delivery. This process is automated and determined by the recipient's email server, rather than by the HubSpot portal or tools.

Keep in mind these tools are not always entirely accurate - there can be instances of emails attempting to be sent to email addresses that ultimately end up being marked as 'invalid.
