Email Open

Is there an explanation that explains why some email recipients open our email 10 times and more? Is it possible if someone forwards an email and others open it, that it makes it appear that the sender keeps re-opening?
If so, then more unique individuals are opening our emails than we can record through Hubspot.

Hi @BRaczko,

HubSpot uses tracking links in marketing emails that are personalized to each recipient. If marketing email is forwarded to other people, that could cause those opens to be attributed to the original recipient, yes.

What's more likely, however, is that these aren't actual opens. Some email clients and service providers are checking and crawling marketing emails whenever the client is opened, pre-caching an email for faster loading or to make sure there isn't anything fraudulent going on. This might also drive up the number of opens.

Hope this helps!
