Setting the Marketing Contact Status

I find it really annoying that I cannot change the marketing status from within a contact screen. At the moment I have to back out of that screen, search for the contact again and do it from the search screen.

Why can't we just change it while we have the contact open?

You're correct, the options are currently limited to what you can find in this article: Set contacts as marketing

I'd agree that it'd be useful to do this from right within the contact record. You could request this in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community. Submissions there are being monitored and reviewed by the product team.
