Deprecating the “skipValidation” optional parameter for the v3 form submission endpoints

What’s changing?

The Skip validation (skipValidation) optional parameter will be marked as deprecated on HubSpot’s API documentation today, on August 26th 2021 for the following v3 Submit data to a form endpoints:

v3 Submit data to a form
v3 Submit data to a form (supporting authentication)

This change is part of a larger effort in the future that we will be communicating where HubSpot will make validation more stringent for both the v2 (non-auth, auth) and v3 (non-auth, auth) form submission endpoints.

What this means for developers:

If your integration is currently using the skipValidation optional parameter then this will continue to work and we will continue to support this for now but as noted above we will be making form validation more stringent in the future.
If you are building a new integration that uses the v3 form submission endpoints you should not use the skipValidation optional parameter as it will no longer be supported for new integrations and will be marked as deprecated.
