[New Deprecation Date] Upcoming Deprecation: HubSpot Projects v2025.1 to be deprecated Augus 1, 2026

NOTE: HubSpot Projects v2025.1 will now be deprecated on August 1, 2026. This changelog has been updated to reflect a later deprecation date.

HubSpot projects v2025.1 is scheduled for deprecation on August 1, 2026. This is due to the underlying Node.js v20 deprecation by AWS Lambda. A new version, Platform v2026.03, will be released in March 2026, ahead of this deprecation.

What's Changing

To align with the AWS Lambda deprecation of Node.js v20, v2025.1 will be deprecated on August 1, 2026.

A new version, Platform v2026.03, will be released in March 2026 prior to the deprecation of 2025.1. This new version will reintroduce serverless app functions, enabling developers who rely on this capability to migrate their projects from v2025.1.

Starting on the sunset date, you will no longer be able to build or deploy projects using Platform v2025.1 to your HubSpot account.

When is this happening?

Platform v2025.1 will be deprecated on August 1, 2026.

Platform v2026.03 will be released in March 2026 to provide sufficient time for migration. We’ll post a separate announcement when v2026.03 is available.

2025.2 will not be affected. It will allow you to use the new HubSpot developer platform features, like the unified framework, app home pages, app settings, etc. The only thing it will not have is serverless functions. If you've created 2025.2 projects that need serverless functions, once 2026.03 comes out, you'll just need to update your version number in your JSON and you'll be good to go!

2026.03 will be using our new unified project schema, just like 2025.2. The specific addition here is the reintroduction of app serverless functions which you'll be able to add to your project.

2025.2 won't be impacted. The unified framework, app home pages, app settings, and other new HubSpot developer platform features will be accessible to you. Serverless functions are the only thing it won't have. When 2026.03 is released, all you have to do is update your version number in your JSON if you have developed 2025.2 projects that require serverless services.

2025.2 won't be affected. You will have access to the new HubSpot developer platform features, including the unified framework, app settings, and app home pages. The only thing it won't have are serverless functions. If you have built 2025, all you need to do is change your version number in your JSON when 2026.03 is available.Serverless services are needed for two projects.
