Hi, in one of our emails, the bottom of the email's source code is displaying on gmail app on android and looks very bad. Does anyone have experience with this and know what I can put in the code to prevent this? Help pls! Image below for example

@NR1 - One major culprit to this is that you aren't allowed to have a large source code size in your gmail email. If your email source code is >100kb (I think, not sure of the exact number), there are times when gmail tries to clip the message and gets it wrong. You can post some source code and we can investigate.

@NR1, Your missing the end of that img tag. If that isn't happening in the template then @tjoyce called it. Try optimizing your images. Chances are you could get your images down to 2-10kb without losing quality. http://jpeg-optimizer.com/

@NR1 I mean the code in your shared image. It's an incomplete image tag. An incomplete tag shows as plain text like yours is doing, however youd see the broken tag everywhere the email is looked at if the Img tag was actually broken. If it is only happening in one place and the image shows everywhere else, then it's the app that is cutting off the last part of your Img tag which is causing it to break.

@NR1 I actually hate email template development to the point that I turn down any offers related to this dark art.

Following @tjoyce's suggestion, use http://jpeg-optimizer.com to resize Nd reduce image quality. Your email is probably 600px wide with a padding so you images should he no wider that that minus the padding. Also quality does not need to be high at 72dpi. Your not increasing the quality beyond that, just the size. You email image sizes should in the single digit kilobytes. Try that first.
