Unable to see drag and drop blog template in blog listing page edit settings

I have created a blog template using Clean 6 theme and attempted to change both the blog post and blog listing templates. However, when I try to change the blog listing template, the blog templates do not appear in the list. Only website and landing page templates are shown. I would appreciate your help in finding a solution to change the blog listing template.

I'd like to ask some clarifying questions so that we can help you the best we can:

- Is the blog listing template published and has it been saved since the last edit in the Design Manager?
- Is the template's type set specifically as a "Blog Listing" template in the template details or settings?
- Are you editing the correct blog (in case you have multiple blogs in your account) and does the template have permissions or associations restricted by theme or folder organization?

Hey @soorajvtrio,

you should have something like this at the very top of your template

make sure, that isAvailableForNewContent is set to true. Otherwise it won't appear in the listing.

Also make sure, you're using the right theme. For instance, if you create a custom tempate in your child-theme, but select the parent theme in the theme select, the template, which was created in your child-theme won't appear.

Thanks a lot for getting back to me — really appreciate it.

We have been using the same template for both the blog and blog listing page for a very long time. Usual ly, we follow this approach and do not create a separate blog listing template.
The template is a Drag and Drop template, and its type is correctly set to Blog type.
I’m editing the correct blog , and there are no theme, folder, or permission restrictions applied to the template.

This approach was working perfectly earlier - the blog template was visible in the list..

Hey @soorajvtrio,

When was the last time you've created a new blog?

Just asking out of curiosity, because you've mentioned that "it worked perfectly earlier" as well as the screenshot you've shared, shows the old Design Manager building experience(which I miss btw 🙂 ), which was replaced by themes and local development around 2020 and stopped being officially supported around 2-3 years ago.

My assumption here is, that HubSpot might have removed the option to create pages/blogs/... with those outdated templates after INBOUND 2025.

Especially since CMS React (the next evolution of themes) got introduced around March/April 2025.

This means that if you haven't created a new blog since September/October 2025, it could be the root of the problem why your template is not appearing in the list.
