Show a deal field only when a specific dropdown value is selected

Hi everyone,

I have a Deal property (dropdown/select field) and another Deal field that should only be visible when a specific option is selected in that dropdown

Example:

Deal property: Event Type (dropdown)
If “Special Event” is selected → show another field (e.g. Special Event Details)
For all other dropdown values → the field should be hidden and not shown on the deal

Is there a way to make a conditional field visibility on deals based on a dropdown value?

Hello, I would suggest trying Conditional Property Logic, but that is only available on Professional or Enterprise:

Settings -> Properties
Choose Deal properties
Open your controlling property (e.g., Event Type)
Go to the Conditional property logic tab
Click Create logic
Set:
- Controlling property: Event Type
- When value is: Special Event
- Then show: Special Event Details
- (Optional) mark it required
Save

This makes the dependent property:

visible only when the dropdown value matches
hidden for all other values

If you do not have professional or enterprise, you could build a Custom UI Extension that allows you to be able to hide the fields on the left side, and just have it set through the ui card, and if you set that one value, then the other appears on the custom ui card automatically.

@bkumar42 - I'm making the assumption that you are speaking about visibility in the Deal UI pages? If I am right, then this is a standard-ish feature of the record customization options you have when configuring the settings for teh Deal objet display. Each card in the left column (for example) can be set to be conditionally displayed based on the value of an enumerated property. You have to consider how you structure your 'about this deal' card display, but otherwise its pretty straightforard.

yes i try with this way but its not working like this see my screenshots its showing for all deals i need to show only that field i selected

@bkumar42 It's important context that you're referring to association cards. These do not allow for editing values directly and there are, as far as I know, no conditional options here The instructions provided are referring to editable fields in HubSpot. Association cards are view only in terms of property values.

i want to Hide a field from a card, and

Hi @bkumar42 so for the moment we cannot show/hide in a dynamic/conditional way properties in a Deal card.

But what you can try is to use Deal Tags.

Tags are conditional and can appear when a property value/condition is met.

This is a quick fix to show something in the card in a very visual way.

Have you tried this.

If you are on Starter licences you may be limited in the amount of tags to create
but its worht the try.
Here is more info about how to create tags.
