How can I change my footer's color?

This is my website nanoomarketing.com and I am using Academia theme. The problem is I can't change the footer's background tho I can change some sections' color to black.

Any advice? Thank you so much.

Hi @nanoomarketing,

by default you should be able to edit the section settings. In those, you should be able to set the background to "none". This should do the job.

If you should not see those options (would be new to me) you should check the template of this section in the Design-Manager (Marketing -> Files & Templates -> Design-Manager) for something like this:

Deleting this row(s) should also do it's job

I can't change the theme's code. Do I need to clone it and create as a child theme?

Yes. You'll need to create a child-theme in order to change the code.

Important note: You'll need to switch the template(s) to the child-theme ones after creating it. Otherwise the changes won't work

Thanks, Anton. I am very scared to touch Child Theme. But I will try.

No need to be scared. It's quite simple. Right-click on the parent theme and select "create child-theme". Choose a name for your theme (note: I don't suggest to use "spaces" in the naming since this can cause errors) and let HubSpot do the rest.

After it's done, you can right-click on every file/module in the parent-theme and select "clone to child-theme". Once done you can change everything to the cloned file/module.

Note: Due to how HubSpot works there might be a few things to keep in mind

Since you've build your page with the "parent-theme", you'll need to switch to the child-theme template(settings->template->choose different) once it's cloned
Since your footer is a section rather than a global module you might need to delete it from the page after choosing the new template and rebuild it. (HubSpot saves everything and tries to rebuild it after template change)
