Theme settings not working causes CSS problems

Hi averybody.

I'm having this issue:

As you can see, the theme setting section is not working anymore.

I've understood that something was wrong because of the live page, that seems not to have a CSS connected to the body:

Here the theme ovverides file in Design Manager, that shows a lot of errors because of this lost connection:

Can you help me to undestand how to solve it?

The support didn't help me, they have opened an internal ticket but they are usually a bit slow.

Hi @EricaFontimedia,

seems that the paths to the values are not getting forwarded correctly.

A few questions to locate the "error":

What theme do you use? One from the marketplace or did you hire somebody to develop it for you?
Have you changed something in the theme's fields.json?
Have you changed something in the theme-override.css(might be called different) or any other css file?

The fact that you have no options in the theme-settings(first screenshot) is quite unusual - especially since (all) values are used in the theme-override.css(second screenshot).

I have seen such approaches where developers hard-coded the theme and did not provide any options to non-devs in the past - this is by far the worst thing a developer can do...

All options are located in the fields.json (see screenshot below) and are used in the theme-override.css (or other CSS files depending on the dev approach). If this is missing, empty or something is changed - the values might not beeing pulled into the theme-override.css correcty which leads to errors you're describing.

In the mean time the problem seems to had been fixed. I suppose I will receive an answer to the ticket to explain me what happened.

If HubSpot will provide me an explanation and a possibile solution that can be implemented users' side, I can write it here for the community!

Here the update: HubSpot's support wrote to me just to says they didn't find any issue and asking me if the problem was still present.

So, they didn't fix anything and unfortunately I can't provide any help to other users thet could face this problem!

Anyway, I hope it was only a temporary bug!
