Instagram embed on mobile does not load IG feed

Hi guys,

For one of our clients, we are facing issues with the Instagram embed on mobile.

On desktop, it automatically loads the post we embed.

However, on mobile it does not load the embedded post and it tells you that the post should be viewed on Instagram.

Any ideas how to make sure the post loads on mobile as well?

In order for the community to best assist you, we'll need some additional information:

Have you tested with multiple mobile devices and different mobile browsers on the same device? Are all experiencing the same problem?
Have you tested this using a mobile device that is not connected to Wi-Fi? In other words, does this happen when you're using a cellular signal?
Can you reproduce this issue using the developer tools in Chrome? If you change the view in the Chrome developer tools to mimic a mobile view, does the issue persist?
Could you provide a link to a page where this issue is happening?

Without being able to reproduce the issue, it's quite challenging for our community to offer targeted advice.

Thanks for replying!

We have tested it on multiple devices (Android & Apple) and multiple browsers.

It turns out that the IG embed loads correctly on Chrome and Firefox but not on Safari.

Switching between WiFi or Cellular makes no difference in terms of results.

Mimicing mobile view in Chrome Developer mode shows the IG embed correctly.

Based on these test results, the issue seems to be with Safari.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi, @BDekker3. Thank you very much for all the details and the link. I get the same result exclusively on Safari using an iPhone 14 Pro. I tried going into my Settings > Safari and removing various privacy settings, but I didn't find the magic combo. So interesting. So frustrating.
