Collaborative development workflow with GitHub CI

Hello!

I'm new to my company and to HubSpot. Historically, my team has built and edited pages directly in the CMS. But now that our team is growing, we want to be able to work from a GitHub repo with continuous integration. I got it all set up okay - pulled our HS project down, pushed it into a GitHub repo, set up the HS Deploy GitHub Action, etc.

But now I'm trying to actually work on the project locally, and I don't understand how I'm supposed to preview anything. Nothing renders correctly in the browser, presumably because the hubl paths/fields don't work locally? I found a thread from 2020 that seemed to suggest you can't preview your work locally. Is that true? If so, how are you supposed to work collaboratively on a dev team? I've been searching the documentation but can't find what I need. Would appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction!

Hi @Jaycee_Lewis - Thanks for reaching out! I have not resolved this yet. I did reach out to HubSpot Support on Friday, and although they weren't able to resolve it on the spot, they are looking into it and supposed to follow up with me by email. Hey @Jaycee_Lewis - I've actuallly just been informed by HubSpot Support that it's not possible to preview code locally. So I'm at a bit of a loss as to how multiple developers are supposed to work on a project simultaneously. I would really welcome any suggestions from the community on how to set up a good workflow! Thanks!
