Hello! I need help defining pros and cons of using Hubspot CMS versus Webflow CMS.

Why I think hubspot would be better:

- Non native integrations can be hard, expensive and time consuming to set up, and sometimes data can be lost.

Why my team wants to use webflow:

- better visual editor, more design opitions and responsiveness

- domain security (i've been told some security opitions are only avaliable for enterprise plans - $1,200/mo- that is not affordable for us at the moment).
In our use scenario, we have this root domain that is used by our app on Google Play and App Store too.

I know there's no right and wrong, but I think it would help me if:

- Someone have faced this question before;

- Some more experienced hub user could share some point.

Re: Webflow VS Hubspot CMS Pros and Cons

Hi @YKrug,

are you comparing only HubSpot CMS and Webflow CMS or something like a Growth Suite to Webflow?

There are some big differences between those and also between free, starter, pro and enterprise. Which of those options are you considering of buying? (I assume not enterprise)

What exactly do you want to have in terms of security? If it's only a domain the easiest way/solution would be to have several subdomains like

page.YOURBRAND.com for website - if you're using YOURBRAND.com for Play and App Store

blog.YOURBRAND.com for blog

news.YOURBRAND.com or mail.YOURBRAND.com for emails

Subdomains are provided by your Domain hosting service and you should have at least 10 for free (in most cases you have 100, 1000 or unlimited)

Including/Connecting them in HubSpot doesn't cost extra. The only thing to consider here is your SSL-certificate. Either you get yourself a certificate from your domain hoster or you get one from HubSpot(this will cost extra)

Also it all comes down to what you'd like to achieve/have

a plain static page -> standalone HubSpot would work but would also be a non used potential

a static page with some lead generation -> standalone HubSpot would be easier to maintain

a page with lead generation, workflows and automation -> standalone HubSpot is way better than connecting several services together but achievable with external services

a high-class dynamic, personalized experience for your visitors, with great lead generation, workflows and automation... -> standalone HubSpot.

As for the visual editor:

Sure, the drag&drop editor of HubSpot is - compared to other solutions out there - is quite different but it also comes down to the theme you choose. There are quite a few awesome themes in the marketplace and I only recomend you to choose a premium theme since the functionality and design options are set by the theme. Of course you can always create a custom theme if you have the capabilities.

My personal approach on themes is always that I consider them as frameworks - which I can modify to the clients need and repurpose almost everything.

hope this helps,

best,
