HubSpot CMS for Developers Local Issues

Whenever I try to set up the local development tools on VS and run "npx @hubspot/create-cms-project test-theme", the cloning always fails and the test-theme folder turns up empty. I thought that it may have to do deprecated messages I received with the installation of the command line but I am not sure.

Anyways, here is the clone fail message that pops up when I try to create a local theme.

Hi JSimoneaux

First, did you install hubspot cli to your working pc ?
If you wanna check then typed "hs" on command prompt.
If display hs command list then install was success.

And, if hubspot cli install is success then you use "create" command of hs.
In particular, will typed next command.

hs create website-theme [name] [dest]

[name] is some theme name.
[dest] is save folder. It's not requir. if current directly is save folder then you don't have to typed.

Yes I tried installing the hupsot cli to my project and my working pc and neither have me results. I am trying to stick the video recommended for the certification but it just won't let me move forward.

I see.

You must check the installing Node.js.
To do check to success of installing Node.js, to type next command.

node -v

If appear version number, its okey (ex: v12.14.0). Else if not success, 'cause you have to install Node.js again.
If you success installing Node.js then type next command and install hubspot cli.

npm install -g @hubspot/cli

And after installing, type next command.

If you success installing hubspot cli then appear hs command list.
Let's try and I hope your success.

I have both Node and hubspot cli installed. I was able to procure an access key and create an unique name to reference the account, but after that is when I try to create a theme from Boilerplates and fail.

I did these same steps in my VS terminal. Does that matter or should I stick strictly to my PC CLI?

Now, your status are

Node.js was installed : Yes
Hubspot cli was installed : Yes
Accesskey was registered : Yes
You tryed to making themes with hubspot cli : Fail

Are these right ?

First, other hs command is working right ?
Is syntax right of create command ?

You'll type create command for making theme is like this.

hs create website-theme [any name] [your local pc's directly]

All of that is correct except for the syntax for the create command. First, I have to use npx in front of all my commands since I am using the VS terminal. Second, the video recommended I use @hubspt/create-test-theme [ theme name] to clone the theme.

Ok, no problem. I used VS code editor too.
Not have to use npx command.
Look image of under. I used only hs command.

I introduced hs command in prev comment.
I used that.

hs command

I could create new theme folder.

created folder

You'll try it.

Hi there, I try to do that but I got this error below:

+ hs create website-theme sample-theme

I am not sure why and how to fix it.

Hi,

The command line/instruction may have been changed.

I tried this and it worked for me:

pm install -g @hubspot/cli
npx hs init
hs create website-theme connectin-theme
hs upload connectin-theme connectin-theme
