Google Workspace Lockout Due to SPAM

Our team uses HubSpot Sales Sequencing for cold outreach and I make sure to keep them within the limits of less than 1,000 emails per day. Usually around 500-700 per day. We usually limit enrollments to 50-200 per day as well.

This week our team is noticing they are getting locked out of Google Workspace due to SPAM. Is anyone else noticing similar issues?

It appears Google Workspace may have implemented changes as of January 1, 2025 to limit email sends via their SMTP to only 100 per day and Google API to 500 per day. Anyone know if Sequencing using the Google API and if this applies to us with HubSpot?

Google has recently updated its email-sending limits. If you're using HubSpot Sequences with a connected Google Workspace account, it likely sends emails via the Google API, which now has a limit of 500 emails per day.

If your team is exceeding this, it could trigger spam flags and temporary lockouts.
