How to set up automated follow up on email

Hi all

Hope someone can help me wit this:

I am writing an email to a lead after I just had a demo session.

I hereafter want to send an automated email 15 days after just to be top of mind.

How can I set this up in HubSpot? tried sequens but it won't allow me to make the first email manually

Sequences are the correct tool here. If you're new to sequences, I'd recommend reviewing this article: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/sequences/create-and-edit-sequences

To send the first email, you would enroll a contact in the sequence: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/sequences/enroll-contacts-in-a-sequence

I did see the articles, but the issue am facing is that the first email, I want to do

manually. hereafter I want a flow

does that make sense

Hi @PEngelMøller,

That's exactly what a sequence does, you just need to make sure to add the delay. You'll enroll a contact, email #1 will be sent and after the defined delay email #2 will be sent. It's not possible to send an individual email #1 outside of a sequence and have a sequence continue with email #2 only.

It might feel weird but if you want an automated series of sales emails, all of the steps have to be defined within the sequence. You cannot send an email and define that a sequence should kick-in after. (Well, it is possible in Enterprise subscriptions and using workflows, but it's overly complicated to no end in our scenario here.)

@Yury yes, after setting up marketing email reply tracking: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/track-replies-to-marketing-emails-sent-from-your-connected-inbox

Once this is set up, you can add a delay and a branch after the first email and check whether the previous marketing email was opened.
