How do I automatically send an email based on lifecycle stage change?

I'm using hubspot to manage customers for a retreat business. Before they're allowed to register, I have the customer go through an application process. I've mapped the process to lifecycle stages in Hubspot and would like to automatically send an email to the customer when their lifecycle stage is changed. How do I set this up?

Thanks. I was hoping not to have to upgrade from basic. Do you know of any work arounds? Maybe like a custom field that I can watch with zapier?

Hi @danieldubya,

Sure, you can also use Zapier if you find an email solution to hook up to it. The trigger could be the value change in the field Lifecycle stage. It would however have to be a third party email tool. Automated emails in HubSpot require a Marketing Hub Professional subscription, there isn't any way around that.
