Hi Hubspot community,

I have been working on optimizing my sequences and experimenting with different approaches. However, I have recently encountered an issue that I hope someone can help me clarify.

When I sent a sequence to 20 people within the same company, it seems that a filter somewhere blocks it off. (this has happened multiple times)

See below example of my sequence performance.

Sent to three people in Company 1, resulted in a 100% opening rate and 33% response rate.

Sent to 20 people in Company 2, resulted in 0% opening rate and 0% response rate.

Have any of you experienced a similar issue? I would appreciate any insights or solutions you may have.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Emil

Hi @EMollerup,

Different companies have different policies on how incoming emails are handled. Out of the box, sequence emails in HubSpot are tracked: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/understand-hubspot-sales-email-open-and-click-tracking

This tracking can be recognized by receiving organizations which might not be a fan of it and either not allow it at all, making sure the email does not reach its intended recipient, or stripping it away, not giving you the information about an open or a click.

In that sense, it's not unusual that for one company you would get this information, for another you won't.

After testing with two companies, I wouldn't jump to conclusions. However, in general, I've also experienced that receiving email guidelines are getting stricter and personally, I'm not tracking sales emails at all because I've realized that deliverability is much better. It's not exactly a HubSpot issue, it's that the bar for privacy and security concerns has been raised.

Best regards
