Setting up an email sending domain

Dear community,

I'm relatively new to HubSpot, and have had a couple of issues:

Prospect told me this morning they didn't get a 1 to 1 message sent through HubSpot earlier this week.
I'd like to get rid of the "via HubSpot" in my marketing emails.

Not sure if the two are linked, but I'm pretty sure #2 at least will be resolved by setting up an email sending domain.

I use Office365 for email, but I'm guessing my Office365 account won't be configured for bulk mailing (i.e. marketing emails to all my contacts)?

Can anyone:

Offer any guidance on setting up an email sending domain. I'm not asking about linking the domain to HubSpot, I'm asking about setting it up in the first place! and
Offer any thoughts on why my contacts may not be receiving 1 to 1 emails (I've linked my Office365 account through HubSpot).

Hi @AdamLPW,

1. For the one to one email recipient, it's best to troubleshoot with the specific contact and information. As you do have access to HubSpot technical Support, the most direct way to resolve this issue will be to partner with them.

2. In regards to connecting your email domain, you must have a Marketing Professional or Expertise subscription. I did want to share this resource regarding creating and connecting an email sending domain: Connect your email sending domain.

Thanks for replying.

I'll have a word with tech support about the 1-to-1 email that wasn't delivered. Keeping an eye on it.

As for sending domains, per my earlier post: "I'm not asking about linking the domain to HubSpot, I'm asking about setting it up in the first place". How does one set up a domain that's capable of mass-mailing? I'm aware of the link you posted, and that I need marketing pro to achieve this, but I'm looking for some guidance on actually setting up the domain.

When I google, all the results are HubSpot, which I guess comes down to the terminology.

A little more info - for our sins, our business hosting is with GoDaddy. Not sure if this makes a difference, or if anyone in the community might have any experience or thoughts on how I could set up an email sending domain?

HI @AdamLPW,

The process of creating an email sending domain will involving getting specific CNAME and TXT records to add into GoDaddy. The general process of creating and adding an email sending domain is similar to connecting a primary domain as outlined here.

Does having an email sending domain only apply to Pro & Enterprise level plans still or does it include Marketing Starter now?

Also, does it make any difference if you're running Microsoft 365 as your email solution?

Hi @RobinAU,

The subscriptions that include an email sending domain can be found here.

The email sending domain is not associated with your personal email client, it is something you will create through your DNS provider.

In the academy, they go through setting everything up here in hubspot from start to end. Making sure you are taking the steps in the right order to get you aiming for success

I had a GoDaddy domain, however I started to get a bunch of weird things being added on to my bill.

I am not with Google, use their domain and email.... still trying to get it to connect. Not sure why Hubspot doesn't connect with google as easy and simple as godaddy....
