Access to Email and Call Functionalities

Currently, I do not have access to send emails or make calls to our contacts. While I am able to take notes, I would like to request the necessary permissions or tools that would enable me to send emails and initiate calls as required for my role.

I understand that there may be steps involved both from my end and possibly the superadmin's side. I am ready to follow any required procedures, and would appreciate your guidance or support in completing the necessary setup.

Hi @WHassan6,

You would indeed have to reach out to an admin in your portal, likely the person who invited you and created your access. They need to adjust your permissions accordingly: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/manage-user-permissions

No one in this user-to-user community can do so, neither can support. This is something you would have to align on internally.

Hi @WHassan6 ,

Thanks for sharing this. The reason you’re not able to send emails or make calls is most likely due to permission settings or because the required tools aren’t enabled yet.

To fix this, you’ll need to:

Ask your Super Admin to give you access to “Sales Email” and “Calling” permissions in HubSpot.
Once enabled, you may also need to connect your email inbox and/or set up the calling tool in your HubSpot account.

After these steps, you should be able to send emails and make calls directly from HubSpot.

Hi Karsten, thank you for your help but my superadmin has already done all these steps but i still can't create emails nor do any calls !!

@WHassan6 please have them share a screenshot of your permissions with you so that you can post it in this thread – I can confirm if it's correct.

In more than a decade of using HubSpot, I have not encountered a situation where permissions were correctly assigned but the user didn't have access according to those permissions.

Specifically, this permission needs to be assigned:

This required a core seat – which your admin might have to assign to you.

@WebGuruz_Tech there are no permissions called "Sales email" or "Calling" in HubSpot.

@WHassan6 it does not, unfortunately. In the permissions editor, please type "Communicate" in the search field, exactly as shown in the screenshot in my previous reply, then please share what you see.

The ability to edit CRM emails is not the same as the permission to send emails.
