Hi @JFox0,

How exactly are you enrolling contacts into sequences?

If you do it from the contact index page... https://knowledge.hubspot.com/sequences/enroll-contacts-in-a-sequence#enroll-multiple-contacts-in-a-sequence

... then it's mostly a matter of doing so from a filtered view: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/create-and-manage-saved-views

In such a filtered view, you could filter by inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria (e.g. Lifecycle stage is none of Customer).

The filtered view will update in real time and if you enroll contacts into sequences from there, customers would not accidentally appear in the list.

I am not aware of an option to set up a central exclusion list – at least not in a scalable way that would not also negatively affect other areas of the tool. You could unsubscribe all of these customers from receiving one-to-one emails, for example, but then they're unsubscribed.

Best regards

Hello, is there a way to make a DNC list company wide that will prevent accidentally sending a sequence email to a current client? Right now I am just manually checking 50 at a time to make sure they aren't but I imagine there is a better way.

Hi @JFox0 ,

I think you can easily do that if you are using the contact index page with just 2 steps:

Note : I assume you are identify your existing client company using lifecycle = customer.

1. Create a list of contact who associated with company which lifecycle = customer.

2. Add newly created list into your Contact index page advanced filter like this.

Tips - I would suggest also execude a contacts who already in sequence via filter, and also save this view as a new view to keep using everytime you want to enroll contacts in sequence.
