Attach files to E-Mails from Attachment card

Hi everyone,

I am wondering how I can attach files to an E-Mail, esp. from the attachment-card on the right hand side in a contacts view.

The case is as follows:

Our colleagues are preparing documents which the customer should receive via E-Mail. They are uploading them e.g. into the ticket, which is already connected to the contact.

Customer service now wants to send this attachment via e-mail - but it's not possible - neither via drag & drop from the attachments card on the right hand side (s. screenshot), nor via searching for this attachment in the Hubspot files (paperclip-icon -> choose existing).

The only way seems to download the file from Hubspot and Upload the file again in the E-Mail?

Or is there a workaraound?

Hi @HWegner1 ,

You're exactly right in what you've observed, as of now, HubSpot does not support directly attaching files from the "Attachments" card in the right-hand panel to emails composed within the CRM.

Manual download and re-upload, as you mentioned, is one option.

Another recommended approach, especially for internal documents or large files, is to use file links instead of attachments:

Upload the file via Content > Files > Upload Files
Copy the shareable URL for the uploaded file
Paste the link into your email body, optionally as a hyperlink or button

This method is faster, avoids file size limitations, and enables click tracking if you're using HubSpot Marketing or Sales emails.

Thanks a lot @ArisudanTiwari. Yes, for some of our problems it will be the right solution - e.g. for brochures or product data which we can re-use for other mails.
