Mails Not Sending from Connected Inbox + "Connect Email Sending Domain" Option Locked

Hi HubSpot Community,

I’m experiencing issues with sending emails from my connected inbox in HubSpot. Although the email address is linked correctly, messages aren’t being delivered – they’re either rejected or end up caught in spam filters.

The Guide from HubSpot is guiding me to the Domains & URLs section to verify or update email-related settings. However, when I try to follow the instructions, I only one see on this page related to email the option “Connect email sending domain”, which appears to be locked and requires a paid upgrade. Since I’m on a free plan, I’m not able to access this feature.

Here’s some context:

The email address was newly set up and connected to HubSpot.
I did a test and sending directly from the mailbox works fine – only HubSpot-sent emails fail or bounce.
The connection to the inbox was automatically disconnected at some point, and I had to reconnect it.
I suspect the DNS settings like SPF, DKIM, or DMARC might be involved – but I can’t adjust those via HubSpot without the locked domain tools. (Or I didn't found any other way)

My question:
What can I do now to ensure that emails sent from my HubSpot inbox are actually delivered?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey @CAI6

I'm afraid you have to have a minimum of the HubSpot Starter plan to unlock the functionality that gives what you're trying to achieve.

If you’re just trying to reach out 1:1, use HubSpot to store contact info and track activity. Keep HubSpot connected to log emails and track opens, but do your email outreach from Gmail or Outlook directly. It’ll help you avoid spam issues and give you full inbox control.
