Hi Everyone!

I have a blog page on my website and I was going to use HubSpot Blog page instead of my WordPress one because I am trying to set it up to not only post on the website but also setup a workflow so that onces its posted it will email all of my contacts automatically. I would also like to schedule these blogs out. Does anyone know how to create this scenerio?

Hi @BoD Happy to help with your question about configuring the blog to automatically email your subscribers.

Once you create your blog, you'll need to configure your blog subscriber lists (no workflow required) - you can give them the option to set the frequency (recommended) or you can choose one as the default that applies to everyone.

You don't need a Hubspot blog to trigger emails from blog posts. You could use the RSS to email feature in hubspot and pull in any feed from your wordpress site. The only difference would be that this email would go out on a scheduled frequency as I'm not sure it can be triggered by an external update to the RSS feed.

The other thing to consider is if you are moving your entire blog over is the SEO implications to ensure you are migrating that properly and not just switching over or you could take a hit there.

https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/set-up-an-rss-to-email-blog-subscription-for-an-external-blog#:~:text=In%20your%20HubSpot%20account%2C%20navigate%20to%20Marketing%20%3E%20Email.,insert%20the%20RSS%20feed%20URL.

Certainly! To set up a scenario where your blog posts on HubSpot are not only published on your website but also trigger an automatic email to your contacts, you can use HubSpot's Blog and Workflow features. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Create a Blog Post:

In your HubSpot account, navigate to the Blog tool.

Create a new blog post or edit an existing one.

2. Configure Email Subscription:

In the blog post editor, ensure that you have an email subscription module or form added. This allows visitors to subscribe to blog updates.

3. Set Up a Workflow:

In HubSpot, go to the "Automation" section and click on "Workflows."

Create a new workflow for your blog subscribers.

4. Define Trigger:

Set the trigger to "Contact Submits Blog Subscription Form" or a similar option based on your setup.

5. Add Actions:

Add actions to the workflow. This may include sending an email, notifying your team, or any other action you want triggered when someone subscribes.

6. Configure Email:

In the email action, create an email that will be sent to subscribers when a new blog post is published.

Use personalization tokens to dynamically include the blog post content in the email.

7. Schedule Blog Post:

When creating or editing a blog post, you can schedule its publication date. This allows you to plan and schedule posts in advance.

8. Test Your Workflow:

Before making it live, test your workflow to ensure that the email is sent when someone subscribes to the blog.

9. Monitor and Analyze:

Once everything is set up, monitor your workflows and analyze their performance to make any necessary adjustments.

By following these steps, you'll have a system in place where your blog posts are automatically emailed to your subscribers, and you can schedule posts in advance. Adjust the settings and content based on your specific preferences and business needs.

Hi so I have a question, if I am using the starter subscription and I have created a blog listing and blog post template and added everything needed for a blog to work and published it as well, but the blogs are not appearing and its blank. Why is it like this, is it because for the starter pack I cannot create blogs or??

Yes, this is absolutely possible with HubSpot, and you don’t need WordPress for this workflow once it’s set up correctly.
