Child Theme Global Footer is pulling Parent theme footer and not Child theme

Having issue with website using the parent theme global footer and not child theme footer

We purchased a theme and before knowing about child themes, I edited the parent theme global footer
We created a child theme to spin up the actual website
I cloned the child theme to create an additional website and that is when I realized that the global footer is pulling from the Parent theme and not child. The global header is workig and we were able to add a new logo to it and customize but not for the footer. When we go to the footer in design tools it is showing that color changes etc. were made to the child theme footer but since the web page is pulling the parent theme it is not displaying this.

@NLange7 Alright, let me try to help you with this. It sounds like you bought a theme and modified it before creating a child theme. Then, you cloned that child theme. Here's what should have happened:

1. Buy the main theme, don't touch it.

2. Create your first website using a child theme from the main theme.
3. For your second website, create another child theme from the main theme.

Now, check these things:

1. Make sure each website uses its own child theme (Website 1 with Child 1, Website 2 with Child 2).
2. In the second website, create a new page and see what footer, colors, and settings appear.
3. Compare the global settings of both child themes and make small changes to see if they save correctly.
4. Check the original main theme to see if you can reset it to default options.

Lastly, ensure your browser isn't showing outdated information due to cache. Try opening different windows or using incognito mode.
