If you have activated an SSL certificate on your website and it's not appearing, there could be a few different reasons why this is happening. Here are some possible causes and solutions:

DNS propagation delay: It may take some time for the DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours for the changes to take effect.

Incorrect SSL installation: Double-check that your SSL certificate has been installed correctly. Make sure you have installed the SSL certificate on the correct server and the correct domain name. If you're not sure how to do this, contact your SSL certificate provider or hosting company for assistance.

Mixed content: If you have mixed content on your website (i.e., some resources are loaded over HTTP instead of HTTPS), it can cause SSL issues. Use a tool like the SSL Checker to identify mixed content issues and update the URLs accordingly.

HSTS policy: If you have implemented an HSTS policy, your website may not be accessible over HTTP until the policy expires. Check your HSTS settings to make sure they're configured correctly

I setup a new website through HubSpot and followed the directions to connect my domain. I added the cname it gave, but when I try to open the website, I get the following error message: ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

I noticed it said my SSL Activation is still ongoing and it has been days since I connected it.

After troubleshooting, I went back and added a CAA in my DNS using 0 issue pki.goog as per HubSpot.

Is there something I need to do to get it to verify or attempt SSL activation now? Or will Hubspot automatically try to activate it again?

My site does not open, not even as a nonsecure site, but on Hubspot it says my website pages are connected.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Kendra

Hi Kendra - I'm experiencing the same issue - did this resolve itself after added the CAA details, if so - how long did it take? Many thanks, Nats

It somewhat resolved itself, but still isn't working properly. It will sometimes open and sometimes it gives that same error message. It still does not show as secure even when it does open and it's been over a month now. I was waiting until I had free time to try and figure it out. Hubspot says they provide the SSL, so I don't know what is wrong with my setup. I think I will try options 2 & 3 that EArmstrong6 suggested below first and see if that helps.
