Favicon Not Showing

I have a free HubSpot plan and website template (KidStar). I updated the favicon with a 48x48 px .png as HubSpot suggests under default branding, ensured my domain is correct under the general tab, cleared my cache, and even tried an incognito tab. After all that, the favicon is still not showing up.

I'm at a loss on what to do. The HubSpot article on this issue is either outdated or this feature is not available to Free Plans?

Hey @FreedomKAcademy, thanks for reaching out! I just want to make sure that you updated the page branding in addition to your brand kit.

If you head to Settings > Tools > Website > Pages, you should be able to view the settings for your respective domain like in your first screenshot.

In a Marketing Starter account, I'm seeing a Branding tab where the logo and favicon can be set (or can override the defaults set in the brand kit):

The URL structure for that page is:

https://app.hubspot.com/settings/HUBID/website/pages/SUBDOMAIN/branding

(https://app.hubspot.com/settings/123456/website/pages/info.yourdomain.com/branding)

Favicons not showing in Free Accounts came up during the last CMS for Marketers HUG, @Meganksull would know better than I do, but in the testing I've done I also couldn't get Favicons to show using CMS Free.

according to documentation this should be available on on all plans, so I am also struggling!😑 Updated my branding kit under Account Defaults - Branding, still no favicon

Thanks @frankbekker I somehow missed the obvious with the information being in the little box on the right.

I'm used to seeing the yellow banner messages that clarify what tier it applies to.

Can you see the setting for Favicon and it isn't displaying? or you can't see the setting at all?

I'm having the same issue that @frankbekker was encountering. I've been struggling at trying to install a Favicon following the related article in the Knowledge Base. I've checked Settings > Tools > Website > Pages multiple times but could not find the Branding tab like mentioned. A screenshot is attached below. Could you give advice on what can be done?

I connected my domain to HubSpot from GoDaddy. There were no settings to change the Favicon from there, either.

@duonghiem87 although the HubSpot documentation says this is available in all tiers, I have confirmed multiple free accounts and it looks like it is not an option until you get to Starter.

@kvlschaefer can you confirm whether the Favicon setting under Branding should be available in CMS Hub Free?

The documentation here shows all tiers, but I only see it starting with Starter (not Free)

That would be a bummer. It's not necessarily that big of a deal but does bring somewhat a slight annoyance when building websites in HubSpot. We are starting a new biz and switched from other services to HubSpot. Without Favicon we're still at 99% ready to launch with Free. I guess it comes down to whether we're okay with going ahead without the 1% left.

@duonghiem87 I know it's a bummer, hopefully we can get confirmation on this soon.

I know the free tools are really great, but at just $270/year for CMS Hub Starter, it is really worth it to get the bump in tools and remove the HubSpot logo from your website. I think there is also a discount available if you sign up for Starter across all tiers.

I launched a site in July and it's already paid for itself. 😎

@frankbekker I can definitely confirm that the website pulls the favicon from the Domains & URLs setting under branding, not from the "My Brand Kits" in the Account Defaults.

Since accounts can run multiple domains, the logo/favicon are set at the domain level.

I'm not sure if this is because HubSpot is transitioning from the old settings to the new brand kit, but right now the brand kit colors are what you see in the color selectors, etc. throughout the account like when you're building website pages and the logo/favicon are set per domain.

I've checked multiple accounts and websites and none of the CMS Free have favicons, I can only see the favicon and settings with Starter, Pro and Enterprise.

The "Branding" Tab in free accounts can be found under Settings > Account Defaults > click the branding tab.
