We are working on creating some marketing email nurtures and would like to share content that is gated with a form on our website. However, since these are known contacts that we have already engaged previously, we would like them to be able to click on the link in the email message, have them get to the landing page and access the content without filling out the form on the page, and have it scored using our standard lead score for the form fill as though they did fill out the form. We also have workflows that triggered based on form fills on the specific page to sync them to a specific Salesforce campaign.

Are there any no-code-requred, options? I am not a developer and am not able to write custom code.

Thanks,

Janet

Hi @Janetmb,

Typically, a conversion path would be set up like this: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Blog-Website-Page-Publishing/Landing-Page-the-basics/m-p/440797/highlight/true#M4842

If you follow that logic, you could simply send your known contacts to the thank you page directly – instead of the landing page with the form.

This would be by far the easiest solution. Pre-population forms for known contacts is not reliable (as it depends on accepted cookies in the browser or includes all of the information within the email links which can be problematic regarding data privacy) and auto-submitting it requires custom coding.

If you follow the suggestion, this could be most easily integrated in your lead scoring and Salesforce campaign automation, if you create CTAs: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ctas/create-calls-to-action

When adding the button to the piece of content in your email, choose "Link to: CTA".

CTAs can be easily referenced in engagement lead scores. They can, too, trigger a workflow that then assigns a Salesforce campaign to a contact.

Best regards!

Hi @Janetmb ,

Building on Karsten’s great points another option you might consider is using progressive fields with dependent logic. HubSpot forms let you hide already-known fields and only surface what’s missing.

If you’re primarily interested in lead scoring and Salesforce sync (rather than the literal act of a form fill), you can also lean on list-based workflows:

Enrollment trigger = Contact visited [specific landing page] or Contact clicked [specific nurture email link].

Action = Increase lead score / sync to Salesforce campaign.

That way, the system still captures the engagement signal without forcing the user through the form again.

Thanks for your reply. I don't see an option to increase the lead score through a workflow. There is an option to reset the score, but that is not what we want to do in this case. Is this something that is available with the new lead score functionality?

The CTA options is a good option, but is there a way for us to use the CTA as a text hyperlink instead of a button?
