Embed Live Chat on Google Site

I'm having exactly the same question as this: "Embed Live Chat"! Google Site is sandboxing the script, so there's no way for it to load properly, and as a result the chatbot is not appearing.

Hi,

I'm not sure this can be solved, because I think it is a Google Sites limitation. After connecting my domain, the chat widget does appear, but only in a sandboxed iframe.

So basically, you could make the iframe large enough to accomodate for the chat widget, but then you'll have a big white space on your page when the widget is closed.

I will probably end up not using the chatflow anymore.

As a side note:

Form embedding does not work at all on Google Sites. I will end up coding a custom form that pushes the submission via API.
Weirdly, the meeting planner form does work perfectly.

You’re right that Google Sites sandbox third‑party scripts, which prevents HubSpot’s chat widget from loading properly. That’s why you only see the widget inside a fixed iframe. This also explains why embedded forms fail while the Meetings embed works. Meetings use a simple iframe, but live chat and forms depend on scripts that require broader page access.

As a workaround, consider using a “Click to Chat” link/button. This opens a HubSpot chatflow on a separate page you control (not on Google Site) or simply routes to WhatsApp or Messenger. Although it is not the floating widget, this is the best workaround I can think of.
