Hi @RichardRetail25,

You want your logged-in subscribers to be able to click a button in their account area and go straight to their own email preference page in HubSpot

The challenge is that HubSpot's preference page needs a tracking token in the URL to identify who the contact is That token usually gets added when someone clicks a link from a HubSpot email If they aren't cookied or coming from an email then HubSpot doesn't know who they are so they either see a blank preference center or get an error.

So a direct link from your site won’t work for everyone unless they’ve already been tracked in the same session.

Now about your idea adding a button to the account page Yes you can do that but it won’t reliably take people to their own preference page unless they’ve come from a HubSpot email or are already tracked.

One workaround is using a HubSpot form as a gate before the preference center You can ask them to enter their email then on form submission redirect them to the preferences page That way you let HubSpot identify the contact and take them to the right place It's not totally seamless but it works especially if you're not using emails as the main way to direct people

It would definitely be great if HubSpot offered more flexibility in directly accessing a contact’s preferences from within authenticated web apps.

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I have a customer with a large number of subscribers, each of whom has a login using their email address on the customer's website.

I've been asked whether it's possible to integrate the preference page into a subscriber's account page—preferably as a button that links directly to the preference page.

I understand that in HubSpot, the URL contains dynamic values that change per customer, allowing HubSpot to recognize the user. Is there any way to modify these values so that HubSpot automatically adjusts the URL and redirects the visitor to the correct preference page?

I'm curious to learn what is possible.
