Turning off the AI-suggestions

Hi All,

Is there a way to deactivate the annoying AI-icon? It constantly pops up in the text editor when I mark text (to link, copy & paste, etc.) which makes working in the text editor very finnicky, since it's a 50/50 chance you hit the icon instead of the text field.

I actually initially had an option where I could say if I wanted support or not and I chose "No" but apparently the icon is not part of that choice. Would love some advice, it's the kind of "it's not a bug, it's a feature"-change that is a UX nightmare when things need to be fast but thorough.

Hi @JWaack,

Under Settings > Content Assistant (very close to the end of the list in the left sidebar), you can switch the content assistant off. These settings will apply to everyone using content assistant in your account.

Is there something planned that individual people can set this individually? Because we do have different needs/requirements so some of my colleagues might even want to use it.

Usually these settings are system-wide.

If you want them to be specific to users, you could upvote this Idea "Let me turn off the AI copy generator popup".

The product team reviews these requests based on their popularity.

This doesn't work, this option is not available and the "AI Assistants" page is the same as "AI", and there's no option to disable to popup, only to disable ALL the AI stuff. I don't want it completely off, I just want the stupid popup gone because it covers up my selection, cursor, and anything I type and is incredibly frustrating bc I can't see what I'm doing.

I understand how frustrating it can be when the AI suggestions popup interferes with your work. Currently, there isn't a specific option to disable just the popup without turning off all AI features. However, feedback like yours is valuable, and I'd recommend sharing it with the HubSpot Ideas Forum, as they often adjust features based on user input.

Any updates on the ability to turn off the AI Assistant? It's unnecessary and the "refine" bubble interferes with basic content editing.

I have been trying to figure out a solution for this. Glad to hear others are suffering too but I don't see a current solution. Must be a bug and hubspot hasn't addressed yet.

There does not seem to be a way to disable the AI button hovering annoyingly over text. I have tried to turn off the AI suggestions (which supposedly turns everything off, which is fine with me) but it doesn't get rid of this icon which makes it very difficult to type and work in text.

Agreed. It's unbearably frustrating trying to make simple text edits because the stupid "refine" box covers the text you're trying to edit. Who designed this??!

I have this issue too - I'm highlighting text and literally can't see where the cursor is because of the "Refine" button. Very poor implementation regardless of the value of the feature.

Hello! Is there a way to make it for each User? Some of our Users might like the assistant, but I do not—it distracts me and is visually annoying. Thank you for your help.

To my knowledge it is still all or nothing by using the settings under Settings (top right gear icon) > 'AI' in the HubSpot dashboard. It would be nice to have this sort of control as you mentioned.

Thank you, theDMM. Could you add this as a feature request? I can see that the settings are curently global; it would be great to turn on/off at User discretion. It may be desirable at times, but it's really not necessary for simple support responses. Thank you.

Any feature request needs to be done on the HubSpot ideas forum.

Please add your upvote on this Idea "Let me turn off the AI copy generator popup" and comment on the Idea with your specific use case.

Unfortunately, there is no other way to expedite or prioritize feature requests.
