Hi @SMachon

Do you have a Content Hub subscription? Building pages using HubDB to process your filters/categories/tags etc would probably be the easiest solution to the presentation of the content.

I think Access Groups would suit your purposes for the restriction of access to the content - and you should have this as part of Service Pro --> https://knowledge.hubspot.com/website-pages/require-member-registration-to-access-private-content

I want to create a section to provide content with downloadable files for members with a particular subscription type.

The content should be searchable for those members and ideally categorised or labelled, such as "seasonal content" or "content to increase engagement." Articles could also belong to multiple categories or tags.

Do I best use content-restricted webpages, landing pages or a section in the help centre (which we are currently not using)?

We have content and service hub professional and sales and marketing hub enterprise.

Any other recommendations? Or is Hubspot not suitable for this purpose?

Yes, we have the content hub professional subscription. Am I understanding correctly that you recommend using content-restricted webpages over using the help center? Is this content searchable on Hubspot for the people with the correct authorisations? The article on restricted content suggests that these search results are not available in search engines but I am assuming the HS search is not restricted?

My personal approach would be to use content-restricted webpages, and use HubDB to tag and categorise these into easily-selectable filters (for best UX) but it won't restrict any website search function so you could feasibly also use search - that would certainly be useful if you have a lot of content! But as I say, purely personal opinion, based on past experience and the versatility of custom web page templates and modules.

You could certainly achieve your goals using restricted access to Knowledge Base too - wouldn't be a bad suggestion at all. I would imagine it may also be easier to deploy and manage, depending on the makeup and skillset of your teams!

Either way, the function you're looking for is Access Groups 🙂

Check this article out for more info on how to set it up --> https://knowledge.hubspot.com/website-pages/require-member-registration-to-access-private-content
